Do you provide free inspections?
Yes. Xanvria provides free attic and crawl space inspections and clear written estimates throughout our Maryland service area.
Should old insulation be removed before adding new insulation?
Not always. Clean, dry insulation in good condition can often stay in place. Insulation that is wet, heavily compressed or contaminated by rodents is usually better removed first.
What's the difference between a vapor barrier and crawl space encapsulation?
A vapor barrier mainly covers exposed soil to reduce ground moisture. Encapsulation is a more complete system that can include wall coverage, sealing, insulation and humidity control when appropriate.
Do you remove rodent-contaminated insulation?
Yes. As part of an insulation project, we remove contaminated insulation, clean the attic or crawl space, seal accessible entry points in those spaces and install new insulation. We are not a pest control company; if rodents are still active, you'll need to hire a pest control company of your choice first.
How long does an insulation project take?
